How would I describe my style of work? Simple; Creative Pragmatism.

I’m a graphic designer and content creator based in Chicago with a fierce love for the state I was raised in: Michigan. A self-taught graphic designer and freelance artist, no one is surprised more than me that my creative roots flourished throughout my time as a social work professional.

Somehow in working with my passion for summer camp, community health and social justice I wound up continuing to use my creative skills and hobbies. Before I knew it I was designing support group and event flyers, writing blogs about feminism and the LGBTQ+ community, helping with web design, creating fundraising logos, designing booklets, business cards, social media graphics, and more. After dabbling for over a decade with graphic design, content creation, and marketing consulting while working full-time in the social services realm, I was able to leverage a few project management and design gigs into a freelance business!

Because my experiences in justice and community work have been transformative, I’ve come to have a distinctive design style; I thrive on melding personal expression and creativity with practical functionality. The concept of creative pragmatism is about bold and expressive approaches to design blended with meaningful collaborations and communication. Therefore, I pair my sense of design creativity with meeting the needs of my clients, and use my expertise and experience to capture what is most important to you in the project you’re seeking.

When I’m not designing or creating art, you can find me cooking up a new recipe, tending to my plants, reading a trashy romance novel, and hanging out at Disney World.
